MGCCC Jefferson Davis Campus Opens Cyber Cafe

Twelve months of hard work came to an end today as the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Jefferson Davis campus opened their new cyber café.
Campus and community leaders cut the ribbon and officially welcomed students to the new technology driven space. The cyber café features a main room with speakers in the ceiling, connected to a large projector. There’s a game room, as well as a study room where students can write on the walls.
Mary Graham, president of MGCCC Jefferson Davis Campus, said, “It is such a warm and creative environment for students to come and as you say, hang out and be with each other. You know all the connectivity they need from gaming to plugging in their cell phone is here.”
Jonathan Woodward, president of MGCCC Jefferson Davis campus, said, “And it really represents the first space dedicated for students to come and just informally gather on the Jefferson Davis campus.”
Next up, the campus is completing third space areas with couches, computers and other services for students, including special ones for veterans and honor students.
