MGCCC hosts Career Pathways Experience

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Harrison County partnered with the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce to host the very first Career Pathways Experience.

Different vendors from industry partners across the Coast along with their MGCCC partnered CTE program showed the students the different career paths the industry has to offer.

Industries ranging from police departments, auto repair shops, banks, and more all took part in informing the students on their opportunities for them.

Campus Vice President Cedric Bradly says he was pleased to see so many students not only attend the event, but to see them excited for their future. “It’s a great turn out. We’re super excited about it. It lets us know both students and parents are interested in what the Coast has to offer. They know that if their students come to Gulf Coast Community College, we’re going to prepare them for the industry, we’re going to prepare them to transfer or whatever it is that they choose to do in life, we’re going to get them on that path to do that.”

Thirty-four different industry partners attend the experience.
