MGCCC hosting Lineman Skills Rodeo in George County

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- MGCCC George County Center will host the George County Industry Leaders Rodeo on Thursday, November 20 starting at 9 a.m.

The annual event is a competitive showcase featuring students in the apprentice electric lineman program. The event offers a first-hand look at the skills and training essential to entering the electric power industry.

Apprentice linemen will compete in teams, split and coached by program instructors, in a series of timed, skills-based events.

Local utility and industry partners will be on-site, many providing prizes for top performers.

The rodeo serves as a unique opportunity for students to demonstrate their abilities to potential employers.

The event is open to the public.
