MGCCC holds fourth annual Experience CTE event
HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Hundreds of high school students filled MGCCC’s Harrison County campus Thursday for the fourth annual ‘Experience CTE for the 21st Century’ event.
Students were able to explore more than 50 career and technical education programs in the school’s new STEM building.
From healthcare and engineering to culinary and automotive technology, students participated in hands-on sessions connecting classroom skills to real-world careers. College instructors were available to explain how one- and two-year programs can lead to high demand and high wage jobs.
The event gave students a closer look at career paths available on the Coast.
