MGCCC Harrison County Campus breaks ground on new STEM building

MGCCC celebrates the start of construction for a new building on the Harrison County Campus.

This afternoon, school leaders broke ground on the new STEM building. The groundbreaking for the $25 million facility was held beside the site at Pedestrian Plaza.

Once complete, the STEM building will house classrooms and facilities for STEM related classes and programs for MGCCC. Vice President of the Harrison County Campus Dr. Cedric Bradley is looking forward to the opportunities the building will provide to students. “This will have a major impact for our students, because the STEM field continues to grow each and every day. And this facility is going to allow us to expand the number of students we can hold in our classes. So, more students will be able to come and look forward to gaining careers in STEM which we know are some of the highest paying careers in the field right now.”

The building is expected to be completed in 18 months.
