MGCCC football player killed in car crash Sunday

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is mourning the loss of a member of its football program.

Marcus Dickey was killed in a car crash on Sunday.

The 22-year-old was a defensive line who was a transfer from Nicholls State in Louisiana and before that was a standout at Biloxi High School.

In a statement, MGCCC Head Coach Jack Wright says the rest of the team is mourning Dickey’s loss and that they will honor him throughout their upcoming season.
