MGCCC and USM partner to expand degree pathways

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi are teaming up to offer more degree pathways at the Gulf Park Campus in Long Beach.

The agreement allows MGCCC to offer freshmen and sophomore level courses on campus, creating a smoother transition for students working toward a bachelor’s degree.

The goal is to make earning a four-year degree more accessible while reducing time to graduation through coordinated advising and course planning.

Students who complete an associate degree with at least a 2.0 GPA will be guaranteed admission to Southern Miss, helping streamline the path from community college to university.
