MGCCC and MHP team up to get more officers on the road
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Mississippi Highway Patrol are teaming up to get more patrol officers on our roads.
Starting this fall, criminal justice technology students at MGCCC can take part in MHP’s Core Program which stands for ‘Candidates On Rapid Entry.’
This means they can gain direct entry into highway patrol school. It comes at a time when law enforcement agencies across the state are struggling with staffing.
The community college and highway patrol will be signing a memorandum of understanding tomorrow at MGCCC’s Harrison County campus at 10 a.m.
