Mermaids back at the Mississippi Aquarium

The Gulf Coast has one more weekend to see the mermaids at the Mississippi Aquarium.

The famed queens of the waters will be at the aquarium this weekend as part of an annual promotion.

You and the kids can see the mermaids in the Aquatic Wonders building swimming with the fish and sharks from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

One of the mermaids spoke to us about the all the fun they’re already having. Lily Rose said, “l love coming here to see all my human friends, and then just visit with everyone, but then also get a chance to remind everyone about how everyone can play their part to protect the seas and protect our animals in the ocean. But we do try to find you, and especially if you come straight to the window, then we’ll get a chance to wave at you and come blow kisses and everything.”

Mississippi Aquarium Vice President of Sales and Marketing Patrick Pearson said, “Seeing the kids’ faces light up when they see a mermaid for the first time. You know they see him on television, or they’ll see him in a cartoon. It’s not the same. It’s one of those moments that is great to capture and that the whole family can enjoy.”

The ladies have a meet and greet breakfast this weekend. Click here for more information.
