Merit Health Biloxi receives first-of-its-kind accreditation on Gulf Coast

Merit Health Biloxi is now accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians for Geriatric Emergency Care.

The emergency department’s health care team received additional training to recognize often misdiagnosed, underlying illnesses.

Merit Health is the only hospital here on the Coast with the accreditation, offering an in-house geriatric behavioral health unit enabling additional treatment options without the need for patient transfers.
