Memorial transforms Biloxi clinic into COVID vaccination site
Memorial Hospital has decided to turn their Biloxi clinic into a full-time COVID vaccination site as of last week.
The clinic made the transformation to help limit confusion on vaccination site locations and to make the vaccine more readily available.
The site is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. This location is expected to stay as a COVID vaccination site until at least the end of the year.
Two more Memorial clinics are expected to be transformed into COVID sites in the upcoming weeks. One will be in Bay St. Louis and the other in Gautier. Population Health Nurse Bobbi Jo Mielke said, “I’m not sure how long the clinic was here before, but it was a walk-in clinic and currently that staff is not working here at that time. They have gotten pulled to other areas to help with COVID. So, now it has been turned into a vaccine clinic.”
