Memorial Hospital Receives FEMA Grant

Upgrades coming to Memorial Hospital, FEMA grants the hospital more than 2.3 million dollars to expand its electrical generator capacity.

The installation of two 2,250 kilowatt bi-fuel system generators will help provide the facility a more reliable electricity supply, which is critical to ensuring continuous operation of surgical and medical equipment should a severe weather emergency arise.

The FEMA grant will cover 75 percent of the 3.1 million dollar cost of the project.
