Memorial Hospital named best hospital for cancer care

Memorial Hospital in Gulfport has been named one of America’s best hospitals for cancer care by the Women’s Choice Award.

Memorial is in the top four percent of hospitals offering cancer care. Listed as one of 410 award recipients representing hospitals that have met the highest standards for cancer care in the U.S.

To be named as one of the best hospitals, Memorial demonstrates exceptional ratings, provides the highest level of care and commitment to their patient’s health and well-being. Memorial Hospital Radiation Oncologist Dr. Rod Krentel said, “It’s a group effort where everybody is kind of working the same page, everybody is working together to the benefit of the patient. It’s the staff and my colleagues and we’re very proud of being recognized and it’s great for our community and we’re happy to provide that service.”

This is the eighth consecutive year Memorial has received this award.
