Memorial Hospital in Stone County recognized by American Heart Association

STONE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-Memorial Hospital in Stone County is being recognized by the American Heart Association.

The hospital received the Gold Standard with the Stroke Rural Recognition program. This honor recognizes the delivery time and stroke care in the community.

Physicians, nurses, clinical teams, and EMS partners work together to identify the strokes and coordinate treatment.

The recognition also builds on the hospital’s previous silver recognition and acute stroke ready certification.
