Memorial Hospital Gulfport receives level 1 stroke center designation
GULFPORT, Miss (WXXV)-Memorial Health System announced that the Gulfport Hospital has received level one stroke center designation from the Mississippi State Department of Health.
This location is one of only four hospitals in Mississippi to hold that designation and is the only hospital south of Jackson to achieve it.
Level one is the highest tier of stroke care available in Mississippi.
Memorial’s designation reflects its ability to provide comprehensive, around the clock stroke services to patients.
