Memorial Hospital First Choice Among Consumers 8 Years in a Row

For the eighth consecutive year, National Research Corporation (N.R.C.) has recognized Memorial Hospital at Gulfport among the nation’s top hospitals as a 2014/15 Consumer Choice Award winner. N.R.C. has honored hospitals whose healthcare consumers have rated as having the best quality and image nationally. Memorial was selected as having the highest quality, best image/reputation, best doctors, and best nurses.

Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings. From the households surveyed, hospitals named by consumers are analyzed and ranked based on their Core Based Statistical Areas (C.B.S.A.s) as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, with the winning facilities being ranked the highest. N.R.C. is recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the largest patient satisfaction firms in the U.S.

Memorial was also recently ranked as best hospital in the Coastal Region of Mississippi for 2014-15 in the annual ranking of hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The magazine’s Best Hospitals rankings, now in their 25th year, recognize hospitals that excel in treating the most challenging cases.
