Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at Biloxi National Cemetery

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- People gathered at Biloxi National Cemetery for an official wreath laying ceremony on Memorial Day.

This was also followed by remarks from South Mississippi military leaders.

This annual event honored the sacrifices of U.S. military personnel who died in service.

Each year, families and friends gathered at the cemetery on Memorial Day to remember the fallen and to place American flags at their graves.

In preparation of the event, hundreds of volunteers placed 30,000 American flags throughout the cemetery over the weekend, creating a powerful visual tribute to the fallen.
