Memorial Day Blowout underway at Gulfport Dragway
Bikers from across the country are joining up on the Gulf Coast this weekend for the 37th annual Memorial Day Blowout.
The blowout started today and goes on until Monday and features bike races, bike shows, a flea market, and live music.
The Asgard Motorcycle Club hosts the event every year which benefits the Boys and Girls Club and various other charities on the Gulf Coast.
Asgard Cyrus says the club loves to give back while also destroying the stigma that comes with being in a biker club. “We do this because we want to do it. Yeah, a lot of people are like ‘we had to wait behind these bikers while they did their run,’ but what they don’t know is we collect hundreds of dollars to give to some kid with cancer or the Boys and Girls Club or whatever event they need supported and that’s the big thing about it.”
If you’re interested in heading out to the blowout, tickets are $40 for the weekend and $20 for Sunday.
