Memorial Day at Biloxi National Cemetery
This Memorial Day dozens of people stopped by the Biloxi National Cemetery to honor those who paid the ultimate price.
Dozens of people walked around grounds to pay tribute to the thousands of men and women who sacrificed their lives to protect other Americans.
Long Beach resident Rebecca Harrison stopped by the cemetery with her teenage daughter in hopes to educate her on what service members went through so long ago.
Harrison tells News 25 her father was a proud member of the Navy during World War II and while he did not lose his life while serving, she still wants to remember all the sacrifices he did make. “It’s wonderful. I’m so thankful. I’m really thankful. My dad served in the Navy in World War II and I can remember some stories and it is amazing and I am just so thankful. I think the WWII veterans are something about them that make them so special. They are strong and they were very proud of their country and had an allegiance to the Lord and just an amazing generation of people.”
This morning, each grave donned an American flag in honor of all men and women who lost their lives at war.
