Memorial Blood drive for twin babies Davis and Jacob McFaul

A blood drive today honored two babies in Pascagoula, twins who passed away earlier this month.

Donors flocked to the Pascagoula Senior Center to honor twin boys Davis and Jacob McFaul, who passed away shortly after birth.

The babies’ father, Shawn McFaul, is a lieutenant with the Pascagoula Fire Department and their mother, Lindsey McFaul, is a nurse with Singing River Health System. Their employers decided to join forces and host this memorial blood drive.

Organizers thought what better way to remember the boys than hosting a blood drive where each donation can save multiple lives. Singing River Nurse Noel McLeod said, “They spent several weeks in the hospital. They received multiple units of blood. That was the thought process. Getting this blood drive together to honor them, hopefully to give back and help save other lives.”

Pascagoula Fire Chief Hyler Krebs said, “Watching them be excited, getting ready for the children, and then losing them in 19 days was really devastating to him. I can only imagine how they feel. We want to support them in any way we can.”

The blood donations will be given to local hospitals.
