Meggan Monday: Special Olympics come to the Coast

Over the course of the past week and a half, Special Olympians representing South Mississippi in Areas 3 and 12 have participated in track and field events in Gulfport and Moss Point.

These games are just some of the many events Special Olympics Mississippi hosts across the state and South Mississippi each month.

It’s a labor of love for the athletes, organizers, and volunteers who make these games possible, bringing joy to the lives of the athletes and their families.
