Meet and Greet to inform newly annexed residents of Ocean Springs

{OCEAN SPRINGS, MS-August 2024}— An Ocean Springs Community Meet & Greet will be held on Monday, August 5th starting at 5:30 PM to welcome and inform the newly annexed residents of Ocean Springs.
The open and free event will be held at the Fontainebleau Community Center located at 3905 MS-57 in Ocean Springs.
Attendees will have a chance to learn more about living inside the City limits, meet leaders and businesses, and find out how to get information and how to send out information to the right people.
“Some of our City leaders wanted us to wait and not have this event right now,” said Leigh Coleman from the Ocean Springs Weekly Record.
“The City administrators have been working with the residents in the annexed area but phones are blowing up now, which means people want information now. Not later.”
The Ocean Springs Weekly Newspaper, the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street and the Ocean Springs Lions Club are hosting the event, with Alderman-At-Large Bobby Cox as the guest speaker.
Waste Pro Services, Alderman Rickey Authement, Public Works Director Allan Ladnier, Sheriff John Ledbetter, and other local leaders, city businesses and organizations will be in attendance to welcome the residents to the City limits.
