Medgar Evers exhibit unveiled at Ocean Springs Library

The traveling exhibit honoring a Mississippi Civil Rights hero opened Thursday at Ocean Springs Municipal Library.

The Medgar Evers exhibit was loaned to the library by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History and will stay in Ocean Springs for the next month.

The exhibit features posters all throughout the library with photos and information about Evers’ life.

Library leaders tell us Evers is someone whose impact to the Civil Rights movement needs to be given more attention.

Now the library will be hosting an event featuring the exhibit next Thursday. WXXV News 25’s Lucas Warren will have all the coverage of that event when it happens.
