MDOT to pause road work for Labor Day weekend
MDOT is putting a pause on most lane closures ahead of the busy Labor Day weekend.
Crews and contractors will halt all non-emergency lane closures starting Friday and running through Monday, September 7 in an effort to reduce delays as holiday traffic picks up.
Some lane closures will remain in place for safety and drivers should treat those areas as active work zones.
MDOT says drivers can check current road conditions and traffic information through the MDOT traffic app or MDOT traffic website.
