JACKSON, MISS. – The Mississippi Department of Transportation has named Michael Hogan, P.E., to the position of State Construction Engineer. Hogan has served MDOT for more than 20 years in various construction roles.
“We are proud to announce Michael’s promotion to State Construction Engineer,” said MDOT Executive Director Brad White. “He brings a wealth of experience, leadership and dedication to this role, and I am confident that he will help our state’s transportation system continue to grow.”
Michael Hogan, P.E., received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University in 2004. He began his career at MDOT in the Whitfield Project office where he spent eight years as an Engineer-in-Training and Project Engineer overseeing construction projects in the Jackson area. He then transferred to construction as the Area Engineer for District 5 for eight years. In 2021, he was promoted to District Construction Engineer in District 3 where he oversaw all construction and pre-construction operations in the Mississippi Delta area.
