MDOT issues scam alert due to ‘toll trolls’

Miss. (WXXV)- MDOT is warning of more scams making the rounds across the state.

‘Toll Trolls’ are back at it again and MDOT says this time they include a fake Mississippi Department of Transportation website link.

These scams ask for you to pay toll fees. MDOT wants to remind you that they do not collect toll fees and the state of Mississippi does not have any toll roadways.

If you have traveled out of state, individuals with toll fees due will be notified through the mail.

They also advice you not to click on any links for safety purposes.
