MDOT encourages travelers to prepare vehicles

The Mississippi Department of Transportation is encouraging all drivers to prepare for a busy travel season.

MDOT officials encourage you to check all tires for tread wear and to make sure there is proper air pressure.

Always make sure to air your spare tire and check the battery.

To make sure Memorial Day travel is seamless, all non-emergency lane closures will be paused from May 23 to the May 26.
