MBI investigating officer-involved shooting in Raymond

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer involved shooting this morning in Raymond.

MBI said the U.S. Marshal Service was attempting to serve a warrant at a home on Raymond Road about 7 a.m. when the suspect pointed a weapon at the officers.

The suspect received minor injuries. No officers were injured.

When MBI completes its investigation, it will share its findings with the local attorney general. This is the eighth officer-involved shooting in the state this year.
