Mayors and chefs compete for best crawfish title at Boilin’ on Da Beach in Ocean Springs
Ocean Springs let the good times boil as mayors from each city competed in a cook-off.
The inaugural Boilin’ on Da Beach Crawfish Competition featured local and seasoned chef’s battling it out for the title of ‘best overall crawfish,’ cash prizes, and trophies. The competition also included a special category for the mayors.
Crawfish lovers and guests were able to sample each booth’s crawfish and vote for their favorite while enjoying live entertainment and fun activities.
Some guests had a tough time deciding which dish was their favorite. “I had a couple, Gulfport is one and Pass Christian and the Ocean Springs Fire Department hands down, hands down.” “Yes, the mayor of Gulfport, yes I tried his when I first came here and they were so juicy and delicious.”
The Ocean Springs Fire Department took home the top prize as the inaugural winners of the competition.
