Mayor Billy Hewes ends Gulfport curfew at 5 p.m. Friday

Gulfport Mayor Billy Hewes has ordered that the temporary mandatory curfew issued due to COVID-19 will end today at 5 p.m.

This comes after a ‘safer at home’ order issued last month, directing all Gulfport residents to limit activities that aren’t essential needs.

The order included a curfew from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. for all except medical professionals and first responders among other types of essential workers.

The other measures issued in the latest executive order will still be in effect.
