Mayor Billy Hewes discusses tree ordinance in Gulfport
Gulfport Mayor Billy Hewes is in studio to talk about the new tree ordinance to protect the urban canopy in the city.
The new ordinance establishes rules for tree removal, closes loopholes in existing regulations, and promotes responsible development.
The ordinance was tabled at the January 23rd council meeting. They will revote at a later date.
