May is Food Month in Ocean Springs

Foodies, it’s time to grab your forks and head to Ocean Springs because all month long the city is celebrating food and its over 130 restaurants.

Due to COVID, Ocean Springs won’t be holding its Taste of Ocean Springs Food and Wine Festival. Instead, the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce is having its first Ocean Springs Food Crawl on May 16th.

Additionally, businesses will participate in Restaurant Week from May 17th through 22nd and every Friday of May, the chamber will give away gift certificates to local restaurants through its social media. Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cynthia Sutton said, “This is just important to us to kinda show what we have. Showcase our businesses, but also kinda a way to say come to Ocean Springs. We are still trying to be a little safe, but we are coming back. And in Ocean Springs we’re a festival town, so a lot of the events that we host is a way to generate revenue to these businesses.”

A limited number of tickets for the food crawl are available. To purchase a ticket, go to Ocean Springs Visitor Center.
