Masks required for Bay Waveland School District
Bay Waveland School District updates parents on the districts COVID policies via Facebook.
In a letter, Superintendent Dr. Sandra Reed explains the increasing difficulty for school nurses to follow up with contract tracing as COVID testing facilities are reaching full capacity.
Starting tomorrow, the district is requiring students and staff to wear face masks throughout the school day.
Similar to last year, students must wear solid colored or school approved face masks.
Dr. Reed also advises against COVID testing too soon and although convenient ‘at home’ COVID test, quote ‘cannot be accepted by the school nurses for any official purposes.’
In closing, Dr. Reed says she wishes everyone a happy and healthy school year.
