Marshals, task force arrest suspects in Mobile murder cases in Moss Point
A pair of fugitives wanted for murder in Mobile, Alabama, were arrested Friday morning in Moss Point by US Marshals working with the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
22-year-old Devanta Hall was taken into custody near the 4900 block of Larimore Street in Moss Point without incident.
A 17-year-old male juvenile was found near the 3400 block of Dubose Avenue. Both are wanted on charges of two counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle. The juvenile has been wanted for murder since June 18.
Marshals believed the juvenile was at a home on Dubose Avenue, but occupants refused to answer the door. The task force forced entry and several people were inside, along with multiple firearms — one of which was listed as stolen through Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
24-year-old Lavon Finley, one of those inside, had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear out of Jackson County and was arrested. He and the juvenile were taken to the Moss Point Police Department for processessing. Other charges related to the firearms found in the home are expected.
Marshals led the joint investigation with the task force that led to the apprehension of the wanted suspects.
