Marking nesting habitats on the Coast

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI, (WXXV)- The Department of Marine Resources is marking nesting habitats on coastal preserve island properties.

The areas are home to three important breeding species each spring and summer. Those breeds are the American Oystercatcher, Snowy Plover, and the Least Tern.

Officials saying if you come across a nesting area to leave it alone during this critical time.
