Marines Enhanced Marketing Vehicle

The Marines are always looking for a few good men and women. They’re hoping a visit from an interactive bus here on the Coast tomorrow will attract some possible candidates.
Starting at 9 a.m., residents will have a chance to experience a taste of the Marine life with the enhanced marketing vehicle. The EMV provides the experience of what it feels like to be on a real Marine Corps range. The weapons aboard are real but gutted and replaced with electronics that link with the vehicle simulator system. The marketing tool is one of  12 in the United States. Marine Corps recruiter Staff Sergeant Johan Nisbett said, “It puts the Marine Corps name out there so we can tell the Marine Corps story. There are local Marine Corps recruiters everywhere around the nation and we just want to make sure that everybody has the opportunity to sit down with a recruiter and actually find out the Marine Corps story and find out the opportunities that the Marine Corps has and how we can enhance young men and women’s plans and actually give them a brighter future.”
The enhanced marketing vehicle will set up camp at the Gulfport Marine Corps Office, located at 320 Courthouse Road. Members from the local Marine pool will be on site from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. to answer any and all questions.
