Marine company to establish Coast operations in Hancock County
HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A maritime technology company is bringing more than 50 new jobs to Hancock County.
Subsea Craft is investing nearly $6.1 million to establish its primary U.S. commercial production center at Port Bienville.
The company develops advanced maritime and autonomous technology for defense, security, and commercial customers.
The operation will manufacture components for autonomous surface vessels, along with testing, maintenance, and technical support.
Subsea Craft expects to begin operations in the second quarter of 2027 and create 56 local jobs by 2028.
Hancock County Board of Supervisors President Scotty Adams says this move promotes Port Bienville and Hancock County as a premier destination for innovative companies and hopes the move leads to long-term success in the area.
