March of the Mayors donation drive begins
Extra Table’s March of the Mayors campaign has officially kicked off. We’re learning more about which item each city is collecting.
Cities across the six southern counties are collecting a variety of items from dried beans to canned soup to even peanut butter.
Items each city is collecting are below:
- Bay St. Louis-Dried beans
- Biloxi- Beans
- D’Iberville-Spaghetti noodles
- Diamondhead- 15 oz canned soup
- Gautier-Granola bars
- Gulfport-Peanut butter
- Long Beach-Canned green beans
- Moss Point-Canned fruit
- Ocean Springs-Canned fruit
- Pascagoula-Canned tuna
- Pass Christian-Canned corn
- Picayune-Rice
- Waveland-Rice
- Wiggins-Canned soup
The drive ends on March 5 with a big packing party at the Lyman Community Center to prep these donations for distribution.
