Manhunt after home invasion in Jackson County
Jackson County deputies are searching for two men accused of trying to break into a home early Wednesday.
Sheriff’s deputies, with the help of canine officers, spent many hours searching the area near Morning Glory Road and Old Fort Bayou Road in Vancleave looking for the suspects.
Sheriff Mike Ezell tells News 25 the owner of the home was there when the men tried to break in. The suspects are described as two black male teenagers who are dressed in tan or dark clothes. “He was just in the house. He was getting up and getting his day started, making some coffee, and he heard, obviously, what sounded like somebody was breaking a window or something like that then he called and saw them going out the front and he got in his truck and followed them down until they went into the woods. It’s very serious anytime somebody breaks into a home that someone is inside.”
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Jackson County Sheriff’s Department at 228-769-3036.
