Manhunt on in Harrison County

Multiple agencies are searching for a man after he ran during a traffic stop in Harrison County.
Mississippi Highway Patrol Spokesman Chase Elkins tells News 25 a trooper attempted to stop a grey Chevy Malibu for speeding on I10 near Woolmarket around 1:30 this afternoon. Elkins says the trooper thought a passenger in the car was nervous and possibly under the influence.
While the trooper spoke with the driver, Elkins says the male passenger took off through the woods on foot. A helicopter, border patrol, and the DEA assisted the trooper in searching through the area for hours.
The other two occupants in the car were detained. If you see a suspicious man in the area you are urged to call 911 immediately.
