Manhunt on for double murder suspect
Reward money leading to the arrest of Rankin County murder suspect Alex Bridges Deaton has been increased to $22,500. Deaton is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
Friday, around 5 a.m., the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a woman who said she had been shot while jogging in Rankin County. The victim stated that a white male with facial hair driving a small white SUV shot her from his driver’s window, striking her in the thigh.
Also on Friday, around 4:20 p.m., the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office, along with a family member, found the body of 30-year-old Heather Robinson inside her apartment.
Deaton is the boyfriend of the deceased victim and is also a person of interest in the murder of 69-year-old Brenda Pinter inside of a church.
