Police say man with gun arrested at Biloxi GCCA parade; no evidence of shots fired
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV) — A man with a gun was arrested at Biloxi’s Gulf Coast Carnival Association parade on Tuesday, according to the Biloxi Police Department.
Biloxi Police say they received calls regarding shots fired in the area of the parade route in Downtown Biloxi, but when they arrived on the scene they found no evidence supporting the claims. Witnesses on the scene did tell police that a man with a gun was seen in the area and provided them with a description.
Robert Barq was then taken into custody and charged with Exhibiting a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful Concealed Carry of a Weapon.
It is still unconfirmed at this time if shots were fired. We will provide updates as information becomes available.
