Man wanted for murder in Louisiana arrested in Ocean Springs

Late Friday night, investigators from the Ocean Springs Police Department received information that a murder suspect out of Baton Rouge was currently staying in Ocean Springs.

Detectives with the Ocean Springs Police Department conducted a physical search on a residence in search for 34-year-old Ian Anthony Seghers. The suspect was not located.

Early Saturday morning, police were informed that Seghers was hiding in a wooded area near the residence.

Officers set up a perimeter around the area and eventually apprehended the suspect after he was found hiding in a shed on the property.

Seghers was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center.
