Man shot in head outside of Biloxi restaurant

A man is recovering after being shot in the head on Saturday night in Biloxi.

The incident happened in the parking lot of the Half Shell Oyster House around 10 p.m. Officials think the shooting took place during an armed robbery. Police say the male victim is expected to be okay despite the gunshot wound to the head.

The Biloxi Police Department also wants to remind everyone to be safe during the holiday shopping season.  Major Chris De Back said, “Well, in any situation, especially around the holiday season, you need to be aware of your surroundings. If it’s late at night or dark make sure you’re parked in a lighted area. If it is before dark, park where you know it will be lit when you come out. If you are alone, that lighted area is very important and being aware of your surroundings. If you are with a group, try to stay with that group.”
