Man shot in groin in St. Martin

Jackson County sheriff’s deputies are looking for two people allegedly involved in a shooting that left a man injured in his groin in St. Martin today.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell says around 3:30 this afternoon, 18-year-old Raheem Johnson of St. Martin told investigators before the shooting he got into an argument with Tony Lamont Buchanan at Johnson’s home on Lamont Drive. Johnson says the two argued over Buchanan slamming the car door on the leg of Johnson’s 12-year-old nephew.
Sheriff Ezell says an hour later, Johnson saw his 17-year-old sister driving Buchanan’s car towards the house. Johnson told investigators Buchanan rolled down the passenger window, pointed the gun at him, shooting him once in the groin. Johnson’s sister drove off in an unknown direction.
Johnson is in the hospital for his injuries.
Sheriff Ezell says Johnson’s sister and the alleged shooter are dating.
