Man sentenced to second-degree murder following January 2018 shooting
A man on the Coast will spend more than 60 years behind bars for killing an Ingalls employee two years ago.
Twenty-nine year-old Luis Soto Jr. is facing charges of second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault as well as shooting into a motor vehicle from January 2018.
The incident happened on Highway 90 when Soto got into an argument with two service members at a bar, followed them out and down Highway 90.
Soto shot the victim, unrelated to the bar fight, who was driving home from work.
Soto’s sentenced to 40 years on second-degree murder charges and 25 years total on two aggravated assault charges and a charge of shooting into a motor vehicle.
