Man on the Run Captured by K9 in D’Iberville

A wanted suspect in D’Iberville was taken down by a K-9 after fleeing from authorities this afternoon and is now in custody.
The man jumped out of his car and ran from authorities after he was pulled over by Mississippi Highway Patrol on Rodriguez Street in D’Iberville.
Multiple agencies teamed up to search for the man near the Super 8 and Chevron gas station. The man was caught quickly captured by a Harrison County K-9.
Authorities say the man was wanted by MDOC. Angela Larson, a cashier at the gas station, tells News 25 the man wasn’t the only one in the vehicle. “He parked right here sideways, he jumped out and left the girl in the car, he ran out into the bushes and we had police from everywhere, every city was here, and what happened was he was a fugitive obviously, and when they searched the car they found some evidence of personal stuff and they took the girl and handcuffed her and she claims she didn’t know anything about what was going on.”
The incident happened around 1 p.m.
Authorities have yet to release the identity of the man or the charges he may face.
