Man Receives 25 Year Sentence

A Harrison County man will spend 25 years behind bars for touching a child for lustful purposes.
The jury deliberated for less than 30 minutes before they handed down 66 year old “Wade Blackwell Junior’s” sentence.

The investigation began when a 10 year old relative of Blackell’s told family members in January of 2015 that Blackwell had been abusing him for months.
After the child came forward, a second victim was identified and testified against Blackwell during this week’s three day trial.
