Man Pleads Guilty To First Degree Murder

A coast man pleads guilty to first degree murder on the day he was scheduled to begin his second day of trial.
A judged sentenced 44 year old Johnny Owens the third to live in prison.
Owens pleaded guilty to killing his roommate 50 year old Larry Johnson in February of 2013.
Witnesses say Owens stomped the victim in the head.
An autopsy later revealed that blunt force trauma as the cause of death.
Owens first went to trial back in October when a jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict.
Owens changed he plea in court on Tuesday.
