A Gulfport man faces a four-count indictment on charges of assaulting and kidnapping a woman he was in a relationship with.

Ferrell Tevin McCord, 32, was served an indictment this week on two counts of aggravated assault, one count of kidnapping and one count of witness tampering.

He was taken to the Harrison County jail and bond was set at $325,000.

McCord is charged with punching and choking a woman he had been in a relationship with on May 25, 2023. He also is charged with kidnapping the woman by holding her against her will.

Finally, the grand jury charged him with trying to force the woman to either give false testimony or withhold her testimony against him.

The indictment was returned on September 9, 2024 and remained sealed until he was taken into custody on Tuesday by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.
